What sounded like a good idea to these two shoplifters, didn’t really work out. Security personnel at a Belk store in Nashville who were viewing them on video cameras recently caught two Ohio women in the midst of their heist. Apparently, they had every intention of stealing as they drove from Ohio in a rental car while on a multi-store shopping spree. The two stole anti-theft devices that remove sensors from clothing from another Belk Store by cutting the cable they were attached to at a register. They then took this device with them to their next location. At this Belk store, they spent 15 minutes removing the devices from about $1,100 worth of merchandise. They may not have been caught, but the security officers noticed that they were spending a lot of time looking at what was going on around on them instead of through the racks.
They were taken into custody and spent some time in the county jail. No doubt the judge will also impose restitution, fines, community service work and they could definitely use a 10-hour theft and shoplifting class. This course is designed to teach individuals who have made poor choices why and how they can straighten out their lives. Participants of theft, shoplifting and larceny classes learn how to master their theft impulses and addiction. More specifically, they’ll learn:
- About impulse control disorders
- The psychology of stealing
- Skills in decision making and emotional intelligence
- Victim awareness
- The consequences and risks of stealing
- Stress management skills
- Improved communication skills
- How to redirect the behavior
If you have been caught for theft or shoplifting, one way to satisfy your court requirement is to take a theft class online. Most courts across the country understand that their clients can’t always make it to a weekly pre-scheduled traditional classroom and now accept distance-learning classes as well. We suggest that you just check first to make sure that your particular judge is open to this type of education. If so, you simply register for the appropriate class length and the course becomes immediately available on your computer screen. The great thing is that you can take the class at any time that is convenient for you and at your own pace. If you need to get the 10-hour theft class done by Monday, you can spend the time over a weekend to finish. Or, if you have a couple of months, you can login and out of the course whenever you have free time until you’re done.
A high quality online theft class is designed to fulfill court requirements, gives you detailed and simple instructions and is rated A+ by the BBB. Once you enroll you can print out a proof of enrollment and progress reports are available as needed. At the end of the class, a multiple-choice final exam is taken that reviews all the material covered in the course. The test can be retaken if necessary, and with a 70% or better, a certificate of completion is sent out to you. This is the documentation that the court needs to see to prove you successfully completed the requirement. Take an online theft and shoplifting class to learn how to stop this illegal behavior and satisfy court, school or workplace mandates.
